Guys, reality check time.

Edit...
As you are being treated like professionals, you need to show a high level of professionalism.
This isn't anything like a day at a club meeting or trackday where you can get away with certain stuff because there's only a couple of you there.
The bar is raised a whole lot higher.
...End edit

Yes, I'm aware of that, but, I'll approach what I do the same way I do anything else in my life, with a sense of humour and enjoying it. If I need to start being so serious that I can't have a joke, I'll be selling all my gear and taking up stamp collecting.

Sorry to appear if I'm being Captain Grumpy (maybe I am)

Maybe, but maybe I just need a sarcasm smiley face for my posts.

Like you've said, it's not all beer and skittles, and of course it's important that people know that. But I wouldn't think this forum is beyond having a laugh. If it is, it would certainly be a sad indictment.

This could get interesting!

Dont let Phil near it, or we'll end up with the entire race in tilt shift!

Well...
Stagger me.
We are back in business.
This shows the benefits of having a good relationship with a camera shop.
The shutter for the 1D MkII arrived from Canon yesterday.
Despite the amount of repair work Twin City Cameras have got queued up, they spent part of yesterday and a fair chunk of today pulling the 1D apart, replacing the shutter and putting it back together again.

I have picked it up this afternoon and it is all good.

Still can't believe it.

Edit: the old shutter had done 178738
