Gold Coast Super GP Set For Shake Up

Postby philwillmedia on Fri Feb 05, 2010 6:05 pm

Came across this when looking at something else on the Courier Mail website.

The Gold Coast Circuit is going to be cut from over 4km's to a bit over 2.5km's
Click on the link to see the press release and map of the new look circuit.

Looks pretty cool.

I didn't mind the old circuit, although the back straights were a bit long.

As long as the bikini chicks are still included, I'll be happy!

Circuit looks okay, but obviously designed so as to make the small crowd seem bigger. Not all that impressed by the "international" component... would rather see an international series. Anyway, I'll be at Sandown that weekend, so it matter nought to me

I dont mind the old track but also the new. As Nathan said it's about condensing the crowd, and i'll take a stab in the dark and say Mr TC will keep the extraordinary ticket price the same.

Apparently not, According to the press release that I saw, they were going to cut ticket prices substantially.

Not sure about the format they have suggested. Might be OK for a non points race.
